The telescope comes with a full sized aluminium tripod with an equatorial mount which enables accurate finding and tracking of stars by using a system of references in a similar way to using a map. It has two 1.25" interchangeable fully coated lenses (H 20mm and H 12.5mm.) The telescope is counterbalanced and has a slow motion hand control on right ascension and declination axes. The counterbalance helps to make the telescope very stable and easy to move on its tripod. Using the eyepieces in combination with the Barlow lens (3x) and the erecting eyeiece allows for a vast range of magnifications.
